"Deleting" Project Enterprise Custom Field

Ricardo:

If you have permission, reset the field to its default
status in the enterprise global template. Once you've
changed the custom enterprise field, it will continue to
show up until you close project then reopen - this
includes all users of Project Pro on the enterprise.
When you reopen Project Pro, the custom field will no
longer show up in the Project Info dialog box.

Good Luck!

I used a project enterprise custom fields to display
some data in the "Project Information" screen. Now I have
to "delete" one custom field because I don't want the
information anymore.
How can I do this action? I already change the field
configuration to the default but the field is still there.

To reset a custom field, do the following:

1. Open the Enterprise Global
2. Click Tools - Customize - Enterprise Fields
3. Select the custom field to be reset
4. Click the Rename button, delete the custom name, and then click OK
5. If the field contains a value list, click the Value List button, delete
the value list, and click OK
6. If the field is an outline code field, click the Define Code Mask
button, delete the entire code mask, and then click OK
7. Click the Edit Lookup Table button, delete the entire lookup table, and
then click OK
8. Click OK, then save and close the Enterprise Global
9. Close Microsoft Project Professional
10. Open Microsoft Project again

After you reset the custom field, you should open each project in the
portfolio, click Project - Project Information, delete the contents of the
field, and then click OK. Publish the project by clicking Collaborate -
Publish - Project Plan, and then click OK. Hope this helps.
