(Project Server 2002.)
Background: We have named Enterprise Task Outline Code4 as "TaskIO", and
that field is used to identify the internal order number for capitalized
tasks. Each month Accounting matches resource hours to the proper IO using
the "Portfolio Analyzer" in Project Web Access. And whenever the OLAP Cube
rebuilds, it updates the Portfolio Analyzer (Click on the Projects tab – then
choose "Analyze projects in Portfolio Analyzer"). Project Managers can look
at their Task IOs on the Portfolio Analyzer and see how many hours have been
reported by each resource on their project plan.
The issue is: A week and a half ago a project manager told me that their
project could be removed from the server. So I deleted a project plan from
the EPM server (via Project Web Access using "Clean up Microsoft Project
Server database" and clicking on "Projects and To-Do Lists" and "Delete the
SharePoint subweb for the specified project.") However, the Task IO from that
project still shows up on the
Portfolio Analyzer with 192 resource hours of the original 3400+ that were
booked to it.
I'm confused. I would have thought that deleting the project plan should
have removed all of these hours for that specific TaskIO from the Portfolio
Analyzer. I even looked through all of the other project plans on the EPM
server to make sure that they didn’t accidentally have this TaskIO number on
them. Didn’t see it. I also verified that the OLAP Cube was updating – the
last update was yesterday (3/2/08).
What still needs to be done so that this task IO and these hours no longer
show up on Portfolio Analyzer in Project Web Access?
Thanks for the help!
