Deleting References

Is there a way to actually delete "references"? I've created some Type
Library files and have successfully added them to my "References" list.
There's an older one I'd like to "go away" forever.

Any ideas? I've researched the internet and have been unable to find an
answer. I did find how to "clear a reference" using VB code.

I have a feeling I'm going to need to do this at the Registry level, but I
hope I'm wrong.
