Deleting "Stripping Carriage Returns" option?

S

slipes

In receiving e-mail's, I experience problems with being able to read
(decipher) what is being sent. An experienced user has pointed out that I
have must have my "Stripping Carriage Returns" feature on.

That means that when they send an article that has bullets or numbered
items, it does not allow the carriage return to be used and instead, runs the
text immediately adjacent to the previous text. Example:

Following is what I mean:
a. this should appear like this
b. but it does not
c. here is how it looks when I receive it

Following is what I mean: a. this should appear like this b. but it does
not c. here is how it looks when I receive it

A little help please on correcting this deficiency? Thanks all who respond.

Assuming you're talking about Word 2007... this should be affecting only
plain text messages, and there should be a bar at the top of the message
window that lets you put the carriage returns back.

To turn this feature off, choose Tools - Options - Email Options. Under
Message Handling, remove the check next to "Remove extra line breaks in
plain text messages".
