Deleting Subtasks

Is there a setting that I could have inadvertently set? I am unable to delete
the primary subtask in a work package.
For example,
Summary - Task A
Sub-task - Task B
Sub-task - Task C

I have tried to outdent task b and c and delete them because the work does
not need to be detailed. I am able to outdent only task c and delete it but
cannot move task b.

I am hoping it is something simple. :)

This happens when you are using Project 2003 Standard without the service
pack. The inability to Outdent is a bug that is fixed in the latest service
pack ( SP2??) for Project 2003. If it's still available you can download it
from the Microsoft website.
