Deleting Tasks and Removing Resources - Project Server 2007

Is it ok to delete tasks from Project Server once time has already been
reported against them (either through PWA or by entering a % complete in the
client)? If not, is it ok to delete tasks where time has not been reported
against them?

Similarily, is it ok to remove resoruces from tasks once they have been
assigned to them?

Thanks,
Rachel

No, you DO NOT delete tasks from Project Server when the task is completed!
I can't imagine why you would even ask this question, since deleting the
tasks will destroy all of the historical data for each task you delete.

Instead, each project manager should leave all tasks in his/her project
until the project is complete. Project Server 2007 will hide the completed
tasks on each team member's My Tasks page after the window for "Current
Tasks" has passed (the default is 10 days in the past and 10 days in the
future, unless the Project Server administrator has changed this value).
After the project is completed, the PM can set the Booking type for each
team member to Proposed in the Build Team dialog, and then republish the
project, which will remove all of the tasks for that project from each team
member's My Tasks page. Hope this helps.
