I have a baselined WBS with actual hours applied to some of the tasks.
Because of changes to the project I need to delete some of the baselined
tasks that have no actuals applied to them. And then I will need to add some
new tasks in their place. I can not rebaseline the entire plan at any time.
Here is my problem. When I delete the baselined tasks from the gantt view
and then go to the resource usage view – the task is removed from the
resource however the summary of the resource still shows baseline hours on
that date.
I have tried several things to fix this including first removing the
resource from the task then rebaselining the specific task (with the roll-up
summary options selected) and finally deleting the tasks. But still the
resource usage view shows baseline hours on the summary line for resource
when there are no tasks for the resource.
Any suggestions on what I should be doing?
