Deleting Temp. Internet files

I cannot delete those files. My computer eventually crashes and I get an
error message telling me the program is not responding. This happens when I
select all the files and press 'delete all' but yet I can select 1 file at a
time and delete one by one but obviously it will take me hours to delete them
all. Any ideas on what might be wrong?

From within IE, select Tools menu, then Internet options, you can then clear
history, delete files etc.
Failing that try posting to an IE news group rather than an Office one.
