I seem to be getting a lot of temporary files in my Word
document files. They are not deleting when I exit word.
Is there somewhere I can turn off this feature? These
are not .bak files but seem to be some sort of recovery
files? They are ususally named ~WRL(a four digit
number).tmp OR they are ~$(a portion of the original
file name).doc. They often only contain 1KB of
information and when I try to open them will only have
some piece of formatting in them, no text.
Has anyone any idea what I should do? I searched through
word help for "temporary files" and "deleting temporary
files" and got nothing useful.
