Deleting Text

Please help!! Everytime I select a word or multiple words
for deletion and press the delete key it prompts me at
the bottom with "Delete Block (Yes/No)?" How can I make
that go away??

messages around the servers!
Turn off the two Word Perfect entries in tools > options > general
