I have to delete the log file of the Project Server database (SQL Server 2005
database).I am going the detaching, attaching way.

But when I am detaching the relevant database it shows me 1 Active
Connection in the Message column and Status as Not ready. The active
Connection is that of the Sharepoint services. So do I need to stop the
concerned service,before I can proceed.

Plz help me out...

What are you trying to achieve by deleting the log file ?

If you need to recover some space, have you considered backuping up and
truncating the log file, or even switching to simple recovery mode !

you don't need to detach a database to backup and truncate the log! in fact
you can't truncate the log file if it's detached !
