How do I delete a text off of my desktop?

2. Are you talking about some kind of file icon? You should
be able to single-click (so it's selected), then press
DELETE
If that's not working, then please do ask in a WINDOWS
newsgroup and describe exactly what you're doing, and
what's (not) happening.
