Hello-
When I open Word, it comes up with a document that I would love to get rid of, but can't. I thought this was a template problem, but have tried a few things and haven't gotten anywhere. I would just like it to open up to a blank document for pete's sake! thank you.

It sounds like you've accidentally had content written t your Normal
template for which there are 2 relatively simple cures

One: While in Word follow the directions on the following site to navigate
to & open your Normal template, select & delete the content then save &
close. Restart Word & you should be good to go. Or,

Two: Follow the same instructions as shown on that site while Word *isn't*
running in order to rename Normal & have it create a new one on launch. The
remaining instructions will guide you through recovering any customizations.
