Deletion of file with CRC error

A program file in MS Office is showinfg a CRC(cyclic
redundancy error) and can not be deleted in the normal
way - does anyone know the trick to delete this kind of
file, so I can reinstall MS Office?

Your help wold be invaluable, thanks.

Have you tried to run a disk check from the tools menu?

Even better, type "chkdsk c: /f /r" at the command line and reboot - it
sounds like your HDD is going bye-bye.
