Deletion prompt

When I try to delete a a selection, in the bar that
displays the page and section changes to a question
prompting me if I'm sure I want to delete and I have to
say Yes or No....how can I make this go away and just
delete the word when I hit the delete key? please e-mail
me at (e-mail address removed)
