deletting data from access database

Sir.
I’m useing access 200 in office Up pack..
I have one problem regarding … deleting data from my Access data base..

PROBLAM:-
I have one blank database with 6 tables its size is 360KB on disk...

Then I insert the 1000 record in only one table which as 17 fields... now
the size of the same data base is 2.5 MB

Then again I delete all the record from database table... Now the data
base is BLANK bur still size if that database is 2.5MB

So plz tell me how to solve this kind of problem. Wetting for your
replay...
