Hi Gene,
The choices for U.S. Zip+4 POSTNET Barcoding and FIM-A barcoding were added in Word v6, but no longer met US Postal Service
requirements to qualify for presorted mail discounts,
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/897290/en-us?FR=1
and the technology of today's mail sorting equipment does not fully rely on the presence of the barcode.
The Word 2003 barcode field support from
Tools=>Letters and Mailings=>Envelopes and Labels=>Options
has been removed from Word 2007's equivalent Envelope dialog in
Mailings=>Envelopes=>Options,
but the feature is still available 'as is' through
Insert=>Text=>Quickparts=>Field.
============
I can't seen to find how to add the Delivery Point and FIM-A bar codes when creating an envelope using the Mailings/Envelopes area.
This was done in the Options tab in Word 2003. Where is it selected in Word 2007?
Regards,
Gene>>
