Delivery Status Notification

Me!

After installing XP Pro Service pack 2 not receiving Delivery Status
Notification for any emails sent. yet still receive read receipts. Is this
right? Can anyone advise?

Delivery Receipts must be supported by the mail server the message is sent
to. In most cases this has been disabled for privacy/security/anti-spam
reasons.

It is also superfluous status that wastes time on the recieving mail
host. Rather than bothering to send positive feedback everytime someone
sends them e-mail and they accept it, they instead send back negative
feedback if they rejected the e-mail or couldn't deliver it. So the
lack of negative feedback is the positive feedback in trying to use a
DSN.
