Delteting highlighted text

About three days ago, the delete key on the imbedded
delete key of my laptop quit deleting highlighted text
when depressed. Instead I get a message on the bar about
the START button: "Delete No(Yes)" Is there a setting
that will allow me to delete text without confirming that
is what I want to do?

Go to Tools > Options > General and uncheck both options that mention
WordPerfect.
