Demo image disk on virtual machine

Xiao

Hello,
Can we run the Microsoft Project Server 2007 demo image disk (supplied by
Microsoft) on Virtual PC ? Or do we need Virtual Server ?
What is the minimum configuration of the machine to rune such a virtual PC:
RAM, Processor, hard disk...
Thanks

If that's the disk I am thinking of, Virtual PC should be fine.

Check out the general VPC specs and recommendations - I am sure they're
documented somewhere. Note that there are a host of recommendations out
there on how to eke performance out of VPC's.

You need at least 2GB of RAM, and patience according to processor
(dual core 2 GHz is fine). The VI requires mininum 1 GB or more - the
more the better.

A good tip is to run the VI on an external USB based disk - this gives
extra IO capacity to run both the image and the PC native OS.

Disk space amount to 5-20 GB depending on data and usage.

Thanks Andrew and Karsten,
Please, could you explicit what VI stands for?
Thanks again
