Deny Team Members access to Issue & Risks

Can this be done in EPM 2007? We only want Project Managers and Team Leads to
use this area.

Assuming that you have NOT changed the default permissions in Project Server
2007, this is pretty easy to do. Ask your Project Server administrator to
do the following:

1. Log into PWA with administrator permissions.
2. Click Server Settings - Manage Categories.
3. Click the My Tasks category to open it for editing.
4. On the Add or Edit Category page, select the Team Members group in the
"Users and groups with permissions" list on the right.
5. In the Permissions grid, set the View Project Workspace permissions to
Not Allowed (neither Allow or Deny are selected).
6. Click the Save button.

Hope this helps.

Dale's solution will also prevent users from accessing the entire wss site
for the project. If you want to prevent users from just accessing risks &
issues whilst maintaining access to other sharepoint lists, then you'll have
to manage the list permissions manually.

I assumed, rightly or wrongly, that "this area" referred to the Project
Workspace. :)

Thanks Dale!! Sorry for the delayed response--hurricane/holiday. Anyway I
tried your suggestion and unfortunately it didn't work--Team members can
still access Issues & Risks. Nothing changed on Project Server 2007 (meaning
all default permissions remain). Any clues?

Thanks Paul!! Again Sorry for the delayed reply back. I tried Dale's
suggestion, but it didn't work. Could you please elaborate a little more on
yours???
Thanks!!!

Okay I figured it out and now I know why no one would elaborate or respond to
my follow-up questions. It's not a pretty way of doing it and unfortunately
you can't just go to one area and deselect or select a permission or setting.
Anyway, thanks for your suggestions/comments--it helped me think outside the
box a little.
