Dependent Resources

Does anyone know how (if it is possible) to setup dependent resources in
microsoft project server 2003 (or project professional)

Example
I have 2 trucks and 3 truck drivers in my enterprise resource pool
I want to setup project so that when I assign a truck to a task Project
automatically adds a truck driver if one is available
I should not be able to assign a truck if no driver is available

Any ideas ?

Chris:

The product team is really sick of hearing me complain about the need for
resource constraints.<g> You must account for this by adding a task calendar
to the task that ignores resource calendars, and by setting the task
priority to 1000 to protect it from leveling.

Hi Gary

I am glad to hear that this is an issue other people have found
I dont really understand your reponse though
what is a task calendar ?
how do I use one effectively and
How does this solve my problem ?

Chris:

A task calendar is a calendar that's applied at the task level. You start
out with a copy of an enterprise project, define it as you like. When you
apply it in the way I suggested, it protects your task from being
rescheduled in most cases, giving you the illusion of resource dependency,
if not actual resource dependency.
