Deploy Office 2003 GPO but will not uninstall Office XP

I am trying to deploy Office 2003 via a GPO. The GPO works okay but it does not uninstall Office XP even after I selected that option in the MST file creator. I have computers running Office 2000 and Office XP that I want to upgrade all to 2003. But Office 2000 and Office XP were not installed via GPO. Is there anyway I can get the Office 2003 install to uninstall the previous versions......
