Dear Group,
I have the following scenario.
A AD-domain with several clients. On each client Office 2000 is installed.
In the past this installation happened by hand (inserted CD-ROM, etc.).
Now, I like to update this version by Office 2003.
I created a MSI-Package and MSP-File and distributed this via GPO at the
user section (publish).
When user now trying to install, setup routine completed successfully, and
Office 2003 is running. But on the other hand, the entries for Office 2000
(Shortcuts, etc.) are still existing, and Office 2000 is starting (with
errors), even I specified in the MSP-File, that it should be reinstalled, and
all old components should be removed.
I investigate, to deploy Office 2000 on a clean installation via GPO, and
after deploy Office 2003 via GPO takes the required effect and uninstall the
previous version.
Do you have any suggestion, how to fix this issue, or how to uninstall
Office 2000 via remote?
