deploying access xp runtime

The way packaing wizard helps in deploying my mde.program does not give me
the functions I need. Threfore I am trying to build a package by the help of
IExpress Wizard and Install2go, but it dos not work. I have used the
accessrt.msi and office1.cab build by the Packaing wizard. I get the message
to msiexec /i ACCESSRT.MSI/passive file could not be found. Any suggestions.

Thans in advance

Build the first install that users will use with the package wizard...

For each additional update..and other features...then use Instlal2go.

Once the runtime is installed, then any additional things you need is really
just a file copy anyway.

I use the free Inno install for all my clients. I even use it to wrap up the
runtime for ms-access. (but, really - don't bother...just deploy using the
runtime systems..and then for anything else...or future updates...using Inno
(or, in your case Install2go). My inno scripts even check if the runtime is
now installed..and Inno is free..and I can't recommend a better free
installer then that....

So, just split up what you need to do into a two step process.

1) install the runtime with the package wizard.

2) for future updates to your mde file, or setting up shortcuts on the
desktop etc...use your installer2 go..

I tend to think that Inno is the best of the bunch, and it includes a very
powerful scriting lanauge (based on pascal). You can find it here:
