Hi.
Im doing alot of deployment of Office 2007, and multilanguage versions. Im
having this issue with multilanguage deployment that i cannot figure out.
The issue is, that if i add the languages i want in the installation, edit
the config.xml file so it contains french, danish and english. The config
file then looks like this (Only the language specific command):
<AddLanguage Id="da-dk" ShellTransform="Yes" />
<AddLanguage Id="en-us" />
<AddLanguage Id="fr-fr" />
This should make the User interface danish when office is started the first
time, but trial and error has shown me that it starts in English, and that is
if i use the the ORK whitepaper ,method.
Hope there is a logic answer to the issue that when ShellUI is speciefied
through the "ShellTransform="Yes"" in the Config.xml (that takes precedence
over the Config.msp in the Updates folder) and EN-US is being installed with
the ShellUI language then it starts up in english instead of the specified
ShellUI language. If i use it without installing the EN-US, then it works but
then the user wont be able to use the EN-US language pack since its is not
installed default, even though the the Office product is standard EN-US
version.
