I know that deputies is a key feature for Project Server 2010 but has
anyone implemented a workaround for 2007 to allow a deputy to be set
for timesheet approval? We have regular issues where a user submits
timesheets but their timesheet manager is on leave and so it goes
unapproved. Our old system had the ability to specify an alternative
approver but I can see no way round this within PS2007.
I've looked into automatically assigning the timesheets to someone
else after a specified period but through the PSI it appears that only
the timesheet owner can update this, not an admin (which seems nuts).
Any ideas greatly appreciated!
