Description column in object viewer in 2007 version

I recently switched to 2007. In prior versions I relied heavily on the
"description" column in the object browser (using the "detail" view
option, which places it in a column). Now the only way I can see
description is right-click and select "properties" per each object.
All my notes and markers are now hard to see. I inherented a big app
with almost 500 objects, and need such guides.

Alas, that useful feature was unaccountably disabled by a recent 2007 service
pack. There are some folks at Microsoft whose ears are still ringing from the
reaction. It remains to be seen if this decision will be reversed.

Ideally, the interface should use MS-Access's own features and thus be
alter-able just like any other table/query/form view rather than some
black-box binary thing locked in place. In short, a product with an
interface builder should eat it's own dog-food. They should think
"meta".

Perhaps the problem is that they went OOP based instead of table-
oriented in the 90's out of faddism, and thus the table tools are not
compatible with "objects". FoxPro was smart in that the forms,
reports, etc. were largely table-driven using Fox's own engine. You
could thus query and browse them and stick your own interface on them
just like production tables.

Hopefully somebody will sell or hack-up an add-on that makes it either
look like the old object viewer, or be more customizable.

John, I was wondering something. If one selects "View by Details" by
right-clicking on the top panel bar, one see's "Date Created" and
"Date Modified" (I believe this is the default). I wonder if there's
not some setting or XML somewhere to tweak to control which columns
are displayed there. Perhaps one can get the description column to
display there. It may not be as good as the table view, but the next
best thing. Somebody who knows the underworld of Access2007 may have
some ideas.

Ahhh...you mean the Navigation Pain not the VBA editor Object Browser right?

I was going through the AccessRibbons.de and I can remember something like
