design change doesn't change all slides

I'm editing ppts made by someone else. The text all had shadows. I made a new
design template with no shadows in the slide masters. When I applied the new
design, only some of the slides changed, and others still have shadows. What
can I do besides change the rest of the slides manually?

You applied the new design, but you also need to apply/reapply the Slide
Layout. Go to Format > Slide Layout. Then apply/reapply the appropriate
layout. If this doesn't work then it means that your original presentation
was created using text boxes vs master placeholders, in which case you'll
need to cut & paste special all of the text.

If the original text was "shadowed" manually ie not by changing the master
then you wont unshadow it by using a new master.

vba is the answer and Steve R has provided a module in your other post. If
