Check the file name used by your host in your online "production" site for the home page
It may be index.htm and not index.html (or default.htm / default.html)
If so, rename your local home page file name to match it
| The page in question is the Home Page (index.html) and has always been
| there. It's really weird. I created a new local site and published the
| remote site to it, same thing.
|
| I'm getting close to starting over or re-installing FP or dropping these
| links all together. I'm hoping what folks say about FP simply aren't true.
| The site is hosted on a Windows box not UNIX.
|
| Thanks again.

| message | Navigation being at: View | Navigation - make sure the page with the message

|
| message | Welp...if your online copy is good you can just do a full Publish down to
| your local HD.
|
| Or, on the local machine you can try Recalculate Hyperlinks.
|
| But, usually that message means that the page is out of the navigation
| structure and needs to be added back in - did you check in Navigation on
| your local copy to see if that page is in there?

|
| || Yes, Nav is and has always been established - it's working fine on the
|| production site. It's just my local view from within FP that is no longer
|| working. At one time it all worked just fine until someone else made a
|| change to a page from another PC. After getting those updates it became
|| really unpredictable.
||
|| Thanks for your suggestion though. It may need drastic measures...

|| message || You have to add the new page to navigation...in Navigation.
||
||
|| || | I'm using FP 2003 and when working in design mode my LinkBars (left
| border
|| | from Nav Struct) fails to display but the production site is perfect.
|| |
|| | I always see the following in design mode:
|| | 'Edit the properties for this link bar to display hyperlinks here'
|| |
|| | This use to work and one day just stopped. It does the same whether I'm
|| | connected directly to the site or working off-line. It appears to be a
| FP
|| | tool problem not a site problem but then....
|| |
|| | Anyone experience this before? Any solutions?
|| |
|| | thanks
