Design view different from Print Preview

S

Sinéad

I've designed a fairly straightforward form in Infopath, but there are a
couple of places where the text fields skip onto the next line instead of
staying with the text prompt.
I've tried resizing the fields so that they'll stay inside margins, but the
Print Preview and the printed document always come out with the line skips,
while the Design, Fill-in-Form and Preview Form views all show the fields in
line where they're supposed to be.
Help, please!

Hi Sinéad

Print Viewa are different than Design view . Go to the View Properties
dialog box, and take a look at the tab that has printer settings on it.
Print margins are set at design time. You cannot currently change them
dynamically.

I think this will help U.

Hi Sandeep,
Thanks for that, but unfortunately it didn't seem to work for me. I've even
created a Print Version for the view, but while it looks fine in Preview
Form, the actual printed copy still pushes the text fields onto the next
line. Any other ideas I could try?
Thanks again,
Sinéad

Hi Sinéad

Mainly one thing you should must to do all sections in your form auto size.

If not done Try this also

If you want full control over your printout, you can add a Print View, where
you can copy most of the UI of the parent View with the following
modifications:
drop-downs can be changed into textboxes, date pickers too, etc. Then you
can start being creative with the formatting.

This way, you can control the feel-and-look of your printout without
modifying your data entry side (original View).

I hope this will help U
