Designate holidays so O2K doesn't incl recurring appt on those days?

My O2K calendar is full of recurring appointments, some on
a daily basis as I use it for just about everything, not
just meetings.

Is there a way to "designate" any particular day as a
holiday so that O2K will not treat that day as a regular
day? I find that after statutory holidays I have to
delete all that went on that day, supposedly. I delete as
that is best way for me to control thsi whole situation;
when I look at the monthly view, I can see what was missed
very easily, as it's a lone entry. But if it didn't write
in recurring appts. on that day, I wouldn't have to do
that.
