Designer Email Newsletter with Entourage

Janet

I recently posted a question (on another list) regarding creating an
email newsletter that has the look of a Web page with spot hyperlinks.

Someone wrote back with instructions for doing it in Outlook in
Windows. someone else wanted to sell me their PHP-based program that
will do it.

I know how to do a simple one in Entourage using formatting but I
wanted to
learn how to do the more designer looking ones like ones large
companies
send out. Often their email newsletters look like their site with
clickable
spots.

Can this be done (not the simple way but the graphic designer-control
freak way) in Entourage? If not, can one do it with HTML editors,
graphic programs (like Photoshop) and/or desktop programs, import it
as one piece into Entourage and hold together to be read by email
programs that can read HTML?

Thanks for any suggestions.

Can this be used to import html coding created for a newsletter AND
still allow open text area so that I can customize what I then "write"
in entourage to each person????
I want to be able to create a template (already designed and used for
a mass mailing) or part of the template into which I can customize my
text for EVERY e-mail my company sends out (there are 4 of us) any
ideas

This feature has not been built into Entourage, however, you can do it if
you use a script called "Send Complex HTML" by Paul Berkowitz. A Read Me is
included with instructions on use - the most important thing is to ALWAYS
use absolute references to the WWW, and never relative references.

"Send Complex HTML" is a free download. Make sure you download the right
version! http://homepage.mac.com/berkowit28/
