Designer Workflows with WSS 3.0

Hi,

I am testing WSS 3.0 for an organization and am playing with the workflows
and have hit a roadblock. I'd like the workflow to create a task for a user
that links to the specific related item that initiated the workflow.

If I use the to-do item the display screen does not show the description or
the link to the related item. You have to go into edit mode to see the
description and link which is listed as a Related Link Item. It mentions that
you can add fields, but I can't find any help online with that. I tried
changing the display form but cannot find a way to add "related link item" to
the list and it keeps changing the page back to the default.

If I use the "create new list item" and create a task, I can fill out all
the fields I'd like, but I can't get the URL link to work the way I want it
to. I want it to display the actual list item that I'm working on.

I'd appreciate any help out there.
