Desktop Access Icon Properties

My last question was not too clear.
What I really want to know is how to get the Access name
from the General tab of a desktop icon.
I know XP is - MS Access XP
2000 is - MS Access 2000
97 is - Access 97
I need to know this because when a user starts my
application, I have two versions they can use. One
version is for Access 97 users and the other is for
Access 2000 or XP users.
I would like to change the users Target Properties of the
desktop icon to start the correct application.

You may want to take a look at the MS Access Version Checker David Aylott is
selling at http://www.aylott.com.au/software.htm

"Allows you to work with multiple versions of MS Access databases. Detects
the version of Access used to create your MDB, MDA or MDE files and either
reports the version number or starts the appropriate version of MS Access."

Since the icon comes from whichever version is current registered as Active
in the registry, and there's no way to have multiple versions registered as
Active, I don't believe you can change the icon (unless you want to manually
set the icon for each one)
