I have a user using Outlook 2003 SBE, when she receives an e-mail she gets
the normal Desktop Alert for 7 seconds (as set in advanced e-mail options),
it then disappears as it should but then 5-10 seconds she'll receive the same
alert for the same message, if it is not clicked, she'll receive up to 2
more. If the desktop alert is clicked after the first alert (on the second
or third) she then gets an error "the operation failed" but when she returns
to Outlook the message is marked "read" even though it hasn't been.
I have done a "detect and repair," and removed any additional desktop alerts.
One setting she has been using for years is under the Tools>Organize to have
messages from different users appear differently.
Our mail server operates on Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition, running
Exchange 2003.
Any help would be appreciated,
