Desktop Search 3 Error installing?

I have followed teh install instructions for Search v3 having doanloaded
Office 2007 but part way through the process I get 'Access is Denied' dialog
box. On clicking OK the intsllation files etc are removed and system
restored. Any ideas on the possible reason for this error?
