Desktop Search -- index won't properly rebuild w/ Outlook 2007

I like the new desktop search. I like the desktop search "piece" that
functions inside Outlook 2007.

Or, I should say that I DID like it until it quit working. I seriously
can't get it to find anything in Outlook, although it can find anything
outside Outlook 2007.

Yes, I've run the new Scanpst.exe several times on my Outlook .pst file.
Yes, I've rebuilt the index in Desktop search several times, even changing
the settings so it gets everything on my entire hard drive.

Then, I open Outlook, it reindexes inside outlook again, and it can't find
anything still!!!

I'm going nuts...

I've seen a couple posts about the most recent version of Desktop search,
and I don't know which version that would be.

Please help!

Don't ask me how or why... it plain just started working!
