desktop shortcuts, but missing apps

L

Larry

I am using Office XP with Windows XP. Somehow shortcuts
to Word and Outlook got on my desktop but when I open the
Office folder from the programs list I can't find them.
That creates a problem when I'm in one program and want
to open a new Word document--I have to close out all
other windows and go to the desktop to open Word from the
shortcut. Any advice on how to get the icon back in the
Office folder so I can access it easily?

Hi Larry,

You should be able to copy them from the Desktop back to the Office
folder.

Right-drag the shortcuts to the Start button, allow the menu to open -
do not release the mouse button, and drag it to the submenu for the
Office folder. When you release the mouse button a shortcut menu
should display then select "Copy Here".
