Is the an environment variable that I can grab the path of the current users
desktop directory?
If not and suggestions on another method by which to get this path?

type SET [ENTER] at a command prompt to get a list of current env variables

HOMEPATH or USERPROFILE with \DESKTOP appended might do the job (I'm not
certain of the distinction between the two; something to do with roaming vs
static profiles, perhaps?)
