Desperate ... converting .csv in access

J

John Johnston

Please help. I have converted a .csv file to an
OLAP .cub file once before and cannot find my directions
so am lost. I am currently opening the .csv file in
Access because it contains too many rows for Excel to
handle. Ultimately, I need to convert it to a .cub file
because I will be using Microsoft Data Analyzer to review
the information. Your help is truly appreciated.

I would think that you would use the DTS services in the sql enterprise
tools to do this.

You can certainly import the file into ms-access, but does not seem to be
your question, or your problem. This newsgroup is for ms-access.

I would try one of the sql server newsgroups. However, before you use a cube
file or any such thing, you will have to get your data into sql server
first.

(not sure, but I am guess that cub file is a cube for OLAP?).

So, I would check out the DTS services in the enterprise manager.
