Hi - thanks to the good ideas from this group, I am going to pursue using
Citrix for our remote/overseas users. I'm a Citrix newbie - so here are some
basic questions:
1. Sounds like it would be better to have a dedicated server just for
Citrix. I do not think we can accomplish that - but can Citrix run, for
example, on a computer that also runs IIS, or would the performance take too
much of a hit?
2. It sounds like we only would have to worry about the number of concurrent
users in terms of licensing for Citrix. In terms of Project - only one
license would be required on the Citrix machine - correct?
3. Our users already have valid licenses for Ms Project Pro. Should they
still keep MS Project Pro installed on their own PCs if they were also going
to use Citrix? Many of them like to work offline.
Any other details of a Citrix deployment with Project 2003 would be welcome
- thanks in advance.
