Likely your original outlook.pst file was damaged and Detect and Repair
created a new one. Outlook.pst is a hidden file. Do a search for
outlook*.pst after you have either enable show hidden files and folders or
used the Advance option in Search to search hidden files and folders.

If you have a outlook.pst and likely a outlook1.pst, than a new file was
created {note you should also find an archive.pst file}. Note the folder
locations of the outlook.pst file. Now search for scanpst.exe {repair tool}
and run scanpst.exe on your original outlook.pst file to try to repair. If
repair is successful, suggest you {with Outlook closed} rename your new
*.pst file to new.pst. When you open Outlook, either the repaired file will
be used or you will get an error message and need to tell Outlook to use the
repaired file. If you have anything in the file now named new.pst your can
import the file and drag and drop the information into your current
personnel folder {see Outlook Help on how do this if your are unsure}.

If your original personnel folder cannot be repaired, you can import
archive.pst and recover some information but not all.
