Detecting References in closed MDBs

Is there any way I can detect references within a closed
MDB file.
My problem is I need to run a program on several PCs and
obtain a list of databases that contaian an added
reference to a particular program or DLL i.e. "DAO 3.6"

Do I need to open each database, or could this be don via
registry interigation?

Any pointers would be appriciated.

I am not aware of any way of detecting references other
than by using the Access Application object. You need
to load the DB into the Access Application to get the
information.
