Detemine sales order based on plac changes and not sales figures -mathmatic problem to solve

Hi,

Can you please help advise me on this scenario/problem.

There is a list of 25 items that is being ranked on a total number of salesover 5 weeks.

Each week I will be told the change in each item; moved up x, moved down x or stayed the same (where x is a number representing the change in no of places in the ranking).

The problem is that I only ever see the list in Alphabetical order, and I am trying to work out a way of getting the list into the total sales rankingorder based on the changes reported over the 5 weeks - so that I can see the actual rank changes from week to week before the final sales rank is revealed on week 6.

Any help guidance would be greatly appreciated.
