Developer said no improvement sync services Snow Leopard new bugs

I just read on the Objective Decisions forum, the people who produce
Contactizer Pro and who have had a terrible time with Apple's sync
services (I found with this problem when sync fails it really fails in
a big way and can affect the whole computer) that Snow Leopard fixes
nothing with sync services and they have found 3 new bugs that they
have reported to Apple. They are working on a method to get out of
sync services by directly writing to iCal rather than sync services
but I think they wanted to see what would happen with Snow Leopard
before implementing this in their V3.9 software. They are just
finishing their 3.8 beta (public) which is fully Snow Leopard
compatible. It'll be interesting to see what they do in 3.9.

All articles I've read about Snow Leopard have been conspicuously absent of
anything about Sync Services.

Apple KB links on sync in Snow Leopard that might be helpful.

Yes, I noticed the same thing Diane - no articles referenced sync
services at all. I think I mentioned on the forum the Contactizer Pro
- it was either the Product Manager or one of their developers - guy
who went to WWDC said he wasn't optimistic based on what he heard and
saw. I can tell you these guys at Objective Decisions are not kind at
all in their words with the way they describe sync services. Its good
I bought this although I've gone back to Entourage I keep reporting to
them during their beta test as I like the information they supply
back. With Microsoft you just know nothing. These guys are very open.
They're a French company I think as I looked some of the fellows up on
Lindkin and they all from a Southern region of France.

I think it'll be interesting to see if they do write their sync
directly to iCal and then let iCal populate sync services how that
will work. For them, their goal is two fold. They don't want to write
sync services any long as its too time consuming and they want to
refer people to Apple for support as they said "frankly Apple has more
resources and this is their mess". Huh! I'll look at that link you
posted. This issue is so near and dear to my heart as you know.

You are not alone. Is everyone going to have to get a hosted Exchange
account for this to work?
