Developing form in IP2007 to be used in IP2003

I have created a form in 2007, but save it as a 2003 *.xsn file. Now people
are unable to view the form, because it states that the form has been created
with an updated version of Infopath. How do I resolve this issue?

Hi Martin,

The scenario you are describing is supported, so I have some clarification
questions.

1. When others open the form, are we talking about opening the form the
InfoPath designer or filling out the form?
2. Are the other people using InfoPath 2003 or InfoPath 2003 SP1?
3. What is the specific error message that users see when opening the form?

Thanks,
Frank

Thanks for the response:
1. When others open the form, are we talking about opening the form the
InfoPath designer or filling out the form? They are trying to open the form, to fill it out.
2. Are the other people using InfoPath 2003 or InfoPath 2003 SP1? IP 2003 SP2
3. What is the specific error message that users see when opening the form?
The form template was created with a newer version of InfoPath.
This form template was created by InfoPath version 12.0.0.

The funny thing about this, is I have created another form, which people
with IP 2003 SP2 can open. I actually uploaded it to Sharepoint, which they
are using it.

thanks for any help,

Martin

Sounds like the file got corrupted. Several things can cause this error. If
you would like me to investigate, you could send me your form template and I
will try to debug it. If you do so, make sure to strip any sensitive
information from the template. And be sure to remove "online." from my email
address.

Thanks,
Frank
