DHTML effects in shared borders

Does anyone know why?.... After upgrading to FP 2003
from FP2002 I can no longer add new DHTML effects in
shared borders? The existing DHTML effects in shared
borders that were created in FP 2002 are still present
but I can no longer add additional new ones.

All authoring checkboxes are checked 'on'.

Hi,

Dynamic HTML Effect have been depreciated and are not displayed on the
Format command. To return the command right click in on any toolbar |
customize | Commands | Format | locate and drag the Dynamic HTML Effects to
the Format command.

Thanks but I'm completely well aware of that and long ago
added the command to the menu and/or accessed the
function via toolbar icons.

What I'm saying is the function will not work in a shared
border. It works fine on any area NOT in a shared border.

Thank you

Shared borders only include the content inside of the BODY tags
Any scripts in the BODY tag or HEAD section will have to be copied to all pages

is not include in the shared border area of the saved page.

What I'm really not understanding is why it works and
continues to work in version 2002.

Check your Tools Page Options Authoring screen for browser compatibility settings to see what options are turned off (shared borders
are turned off as a default)

Thanks Stefan but as I stated in the initial post in this
thread

"All authoring checkboxes are checked..."

I've decided my 'solution' is to proceed with using
FP2002 to manage my existing site and develop an all new
one using FP2003 Dynamic Web Templates.

I've been using DHTML effects in shared borders
extensively for a year and a half in FP2002 and it still
works fine so that will be my course of action.
