Using word 2007 enterprise...
1) How do you change the template that a document is attached to?

2) When I make a change to the document that makes the document defferent
than the template (such as changing heading 1), I get the following message:
Do you also want to save changes to the document template? Yes/No
I indicate NO, but I think this is a dangerous dialog box that could ruin a
lot of work in a template. How to I stop this dialog box from appearing?

If the Developer tab of the ribbon isn't visible, go to Office button > Word
Options > Popular and check the option to display it. On that tab, click the
Document Template button. In the dialog, click the Attach button and choose
the new template.

The only reason that dialog should appear is if you've actually made a
change to the template. One way that could happen when you modify a style is
if the "New documents based on this template" option is selected at the
bottom of the Modify Style dialog -- you're telling Word that the change
should be stored in the template as well as in the document. The default is
that the "Only in this document" option is selected, and usually it should
be left that way.

Even if you could disable the Save Changes dialog box, it would be folly to
do so -- it's an important warning that you might have done something wrong.
Instead of disabling it, make sure you're doing what you intended so the
dialog doesn't appear or, if it does appear, that you read it carefully and
consider what you're doing.
