Diacritical Marks

Does ayone know if it's possible to use diacritical marks in Word (2003)
docs?

(These would be markings for pronunciation and/or stress)

Thanks.

Hi Stephen,

Besides the precomposed diacritics and the combining diacritical marks like
U+0300 that are probably mentioned in Suzanne's article, Word has also a
special feature for emphasis marks.

Those can be a solid circle above, a white circle above, or a (smaller)
solid circle below.
They work well with any font.

The solid circle above can be added or removed from a button on the
"Extended formatting toolbar" (View > Toolbars > Modify... > Toolbars tab).
For the other emphasis marks, you could record a macro just clicking on the
button, and then edit the recorded macro (wdEmphasisMarkOverSolidCircle,
wdEmphasisMarkOverWhiteCircle, [wdEmphasisMarkOverComma doesn't seem to
work], wdEmphasisMarkUnderSolidCircle).

Regards,
Klaus
